Following its successful bid for funding from the Mission Bern in 2017 for the Beaunant siphon-bridge, Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon completed the consolidation of four arches in 2019.

A second phase of works has been launched with the aid of the Heritage Foundation for the restoration of a further 2 arches.

The Beaunant siphon bridge is the largest of four along the Gier Aqueduct.
